September 30, 2023, 10 am.  – Peerless Rockville will present a program entitled: “Maryland’s Glory: Local Soldiers of The United States Colored Troops” at Jerusalem-Mt. Pleasant UMC.  U. S. Park Ranger Bryan A. Cheeseboro of the National Park Service’s Civil War Defenses of Washington, DC will talk about the U.S. Colored Troops from Montgomery County and Chiquita Sorrels, the historian for Jerusalem – Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church will share the stories of local Rockville US CT soldiers.
